History Lesson

Shortly after the sexual exploration class, I got a new roommate. Tim was tall with broad shoulders that made him look like an athlete. Wavy hair filled his head and his complexion was smooth with the perfection of a newborn baby. His hazel eyes mesmerized the freaks of the neighboring all girl’s college, which made picking up women effortless.

Instantly, he and I hit it off. Late night train sessions with the local girls were common for us. What Tim didn’t notice were my lingering glares.

Since the day Tim moved in I was attracted to him. I didn’t make it obvious, the last thing I wanted was to deal with the scrutiny of my frat brothers. To avoid somebody labeling me as a fag, I pushed the gay thoughts to the side.

I admired Tim's cool demeanor, especially with the ladies, so I doubted he would let me in through the backdoor. I could see why the women swooned over him. Like the women, I too envisioned wrapping my arms around Tim's basketball player physique.

All the reminiscing floating through my mind made me nostalgic. I was getting tired of Trina and the others like her. All of them meant no more to me than a busted nut.

I finished up with Trina and sent her to get cleaned up. This was fun, but it was also a business trip and I needed to rest.

Trina was back in the shower washing off my scent. The noise of the falling water made me think about the night when everything changed. I remembered that night like it was yesterday.

Tim and I were in our room, chilling, and talking shit. I went and took a shower and came back in the dorm room with my towel around my waist. Me coming in the room with only a towel on was nothing new. Tim was at the computer desk typing a paper, but he kept looking at me.

“Wassup dude?” I asked Tim.

He shook his head and said nothing as he went back to typing his paper. I shrugged it off and kept getting dressed.

I was at the dresser now putting on deodorant and sliding my boxers on under the towel. Then Tim began to speak.

“I got a question” Tim asked as I started to get my pajama pants out of a drawer.

“You ever let a girl lick your ass before?” That was Tim, always asking some out of the way question about sex.

“Naw dude, they say that’s on the verge of being gay.” I replied as I eyed Tim to see his reaction. Tim let out a deep sigh.

“Have you?” I asked.

“Naw not yet, and I don’t think the shit is gay. A lot of the shit people say was made up to scare us.”

That’s when I let out the bomb about my sexual exploration class and what I learned. I rambled on about Shaka Zulu, Chinese Shamen, and other cultures throughout history that allowed homosexuality as an everyday practice.

I wanted to tell him about my desires but I was too afraid.
